Aurélien Tchouaméni says Kylian Mbappé told him to join PSG

In an interview published in France Football, Real Madrid and France midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni has notably explained that international teammate Kylian Mbappé tried to convince him to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The former Bordeaux man explains that, during the June international break, when he was still at Monaco and Mbappé’s contract extension at PSG had already been confirmed, the forward and club defender Presnel Kimpembe had been light-heartedly teasing him to join them in the French capital. He adds that the two had spoken about their futures towards the end of the season, before both of their respective futures had been tied up.

Tchouaméni, though, explains that his choice had already been made by then. After an impressive season with Monaco, which saw him help lead the club back up the standings to earn third place, the 22-year-old made the lucrative move to the Spanish capital, where he has made 17 appearances so far this campaign.
