WWE News & Notes: Fastlane PPV, Hardy Brothers, Big Show/Shaq

  • WWE officials are internally hoping for the Charlotte vs. Bayley and Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe matches to deliver from a wrestling standpoint. The reason for this is that Goldberg vs. Kevin Owens is likely not going over ten minutes while the Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman match likely won’t be a clean finish.

  • Matt and Jeff Hardy have officially begun negotiating with WWE. While no deal has been signed and there are a number of issues that have to be ironed out, the general consensus is that they will be on WWE TV either at WrestleMania or soon thereafter.

  • WWE officials are said to be blaming the possibility of the Shaq vs. Big Show match falling through entirely on Shaq and his lack of preparation for the bout. Whereas Big Show has been working out and is arguably in the best shape of his life, Shaq’s training has fallen woefully short and the speculation is that he is not physically ready and his representatives are trying to back out. Some reports say Shaq is well over 400 lbs.
