Update on WWE's Plans in the U.K.; News on U.K Wrestlers Signing Contracts

November 27, 2020 0 By JohnValbyNation

— The belief in the “U.K. dressing rooms” is that Joe Coffey has signed a UK deal with WWE but Coffey himself as denied it. Of course, this doesn’t reveal anything one way or another as talent are not allowed to confirm they have signed until WWE publicly announces it.

— There’s “a lot of movement” going on backstage as far as the often-delayed U.K. project goes. WWE has booked dates in December but they have also booked and cancelled dates for the U.K. TV tapings. It should be noted though that WWE has renewed the contracts of the “big five” U.K. wrestlers – Trent Seven, Tyler Bate, Pete Dunne, Wolfgang and Mark Andrews – some almost tripling their salaries.

— The idea is still to do U.K tapings and run a UK based promotions with the ultimate goal to eventually open a training center.
