NXT! NXT” as the camera swoops around the arena.

Kicking off tonight’s LIVE special on the WWE Network is the NXT Tag-Team Championship contest, pitting The Undisputed Era’s Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong against The Mustache Mountain — Tyler Bate and Trent Seven.

The NXT Tag-Team Championship contest kicks off tonight’s special, as The Undisputed Era’s Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong immediately make their way out to the ring to start things off. Out next are their opponents for tonight’s championship contest, Tyler Bate and Trent Seven.

The Mustache Mountain start things off in control, as Bate and Seven take an early lead in this opening contest. The fans are going absolutely bonkers now with dueling chants for both teams. Strong is the guy being left in the ring to take a beating from both Bate and Seven, who make tags to keep fresh men on one-half of the tag champions.

As the momentum shifts, Strong gets Seven in a Boston Crab while O’Reilly catches Bate in an Armbar. Bate then deadlifted O’Reilly into a powerbomb, slamming him down onto Strong to break his submission. The crowd definitely dug that spot. Now Bate suplexes The Undisputed Era onto each other. He follows in with some big dives that keeps the crowd on their feet.

The finish saw Strong cut off Bate with a running knee. Then, outnumbered, Seven became prey to The Undisputed Era. They used Total Elimination and O’Reilly covered Seven for the pin and the victory for his team.

The action continues at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV!

Following our NXT Tag-Team Championship opener, we move onto non-title singles action, as Velveteen Dream vs. EC3 is up next here on the live WWE Network special from the Barclays Center.

Velveteen Dream vs. EC3

These two make their elaborate ring entrances and the fans are more than ready for the bell to ring to kick this one off.

Early on, EC3 has the upper-hand, controlling the offense and the flow of the match. Dream ended up taking over after hitting a twisting DDT outside on the metal ramp. Dream then worked the neck on EC3.

EC3 made another big comeback and the two began trading near falls as the finish seemed imminent. EC3 superplexed Dream, but EC3 sold his own neck upon landing. Dream counters with a Dream Valley Driver moments later for a near fall.
It’s time for more championship action!

NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV continues as The Undisputed Era is once again represented inside the squared circle, with Adam Cole defending his NXT North American Championship against Ricochet — NEXT.

NXT North American Championship
* Adam Cole (c) vs. Ricochet

Both guys make their way to the ring and another one-on-one contest is up next. The NXT North American Championship is up for grabs in this one.

The fans are buzzing. They are absolutely salivating at this one. This one should be good. A definite potential show-stealer in the works.

Cole jumps off to an early offensive lead in the contest. As he controls the action, the NXT North American Champion keeps yelling at Ricochet, “You’re not special!”

They are giving this one a ton of time and the crowd is absolutely eating every minute of it up to pieces. They are going wild with chants and echo’ing cheers while these two are doing every high spot and risky move in the book. There is a lot of illustration verbally throughout this match as well. Mauro Ranallo is going to lose his mind trying to call this one without having a seizure or a heart attack. In the end, Ricochet hits a 630 for the pin. The crowd explodes.

Winner and NEW NXT North American Champion: Ricochet
Something has cut EC3, who is now bleeding over his eye. After another Dream Valley Driver, this time on the apron, and a flying elbow, Dream rolls EC3 back in the ring ropes to cover him. 1-2-3.

Winner: Velveteen Dream

And another title match is up next, as the ladies attempt once again to steal the show.

The NXT Women’s Championship is up for grabs next here at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, as “The Queen of Spades” defends against the first-ever Mae Young Classic tournament winner, as Shayna Baszler goes head-to-head with Kairi Sane.

NXT Women’s Championship
* Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Kairi Sane

The video package for this one was awesome, showing their story dating back to last year’s Mae Young Classic. The crowd is as pumped for this one as any other match thus far tonight.

The bell rings and here we go with our co-main event of the evening. This one gets plenty of time to develop and progress and in the end, we have quite the finish!

Sane tied Baszler up with the ropes before letting her out and hitting an Alabama Slam. Sane goes up to the top rope and goes for the big elbow drop, however The Queen of Spades got her knees up. Baszler went for the Kirifuda Clutch again but this time Sane countered by rolling her up. 1-2-3.

We have a new champion.

Winner and NEW NXT Women’s Champion: Kairi Sane

Finally, it’s MAIN EVENT time!

The Last Man Standing Match for the NXT World Championship between Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano is up next. The video package for tonight’s headline bout rolls on the big screen and for the viewing audience.

NXT World Championship
(Last Man Standing Match)
* Tommaso Ciampa (c) vs. Johnny Gargano

The two make their ring entrances and after the introductions, these two waste no time getting into it. They trade some back-and-forth action before the match spills out to the floor.

Out on the floor, Gargano and Ciampa are duking it out. Now they roll the ringside mat up and expose the concrete. Ciampa throws Gargano over the ringside barricade, looking to hit a draping DDT. Gargano avoids it and slams Ciampa back-first into the ring post and then hits a somersault dive onto him from the ringside apron. Gargano throws Ciampa over the announcers table as the fans explode inside the Barclays Center. Gargano just got put through the table by a Ciampa Airplane Crash.

We have several close counts towards ten, but none hit the mark. Most were for Gargano, after Ciampa took him out with various moves, such as three powerbombs onto his knees and a big dive spot on the floor that Gargano missed. Ciampa also slammed him off the ringside steps for a close near finish. The two are still battling outside the ring, where ringside steps are laid out, the padding in the ring itself is torn up and there is a cool table setup with one table opened up upside down on top of another one that is set up. While tearing up the padding in the ring, Gargano sprayed him with a fire extinguisher.

Back inside the ring, Gargano goes after Ciampa, who is blinded from being sprayed, with a crutch. Now Gargano chases Ciampa around the ring, inside and out, before hitting him again. Back in the ring, where the padding is exposed, Gargano hangs on outside the apron while Ciampa fires punches at him from the other side of the ropes in the ring. Gargano hits a big DDT on Ciampa, who gets planted on the exposed portion of the ring. The referee does another count, but once again, neither man is ready to call it quits.

On the floor, Ciampa drives a running a knee in front of a chair through Gargano and the ringside barricade. He throws a bunch of heavy broken table pieces on top of him and stands on the announce table counting with the referee. Gargano makes it up at 9 and 1/2.

Ciampa brings out the handcuffs once again, but Gargano starts making a comeback. Now the action returns to the ring. Gargano puts the handcuffs on Ciampa’s first hand and it looks like he might lock him up like he did in the past. Ciampa fights it off, however, and now takes Gargano over to the aforementioned table setup outside the ring. Gargano ends up blasting Ciampa with a sidekick while he was outside the ring ropes but standing on the apron. This sends Ciampa backwards through the double table set up, with his head knocking into the table legs on the way down. The referee begins his count and gets to 9 and 1/2 but Ciampa makes it to his feet with the help of a crutch that he was beaten with earlier on.

The fans chant “Fight Forever” as Mauro Ranallo again tries his best not to have a heart attack and/or stroke live on air due to excitement.

Gargano beats Ciampa up the entrance ramp. Ciampa still has one handcuff on one of his wrists. Gargano locks in his submission on Ciampa, who taps out, but it doesn’t matter. Gargano handcuffs Ciampa to part of the stage near the big screen at the top of the entrance ramp. He starts bashing Ciampa’s head off the set and then blasts him with a superkick. Ciampa seemed to try to apologize to Gargano, but Gargano blasts him with more and more superkicks instead. Gargano yells “You did this!” at Ciampa. Ciampa again tries apologizing but Gargano still doesn’t seem ready to hear that. Gargano stands back while the referee counts. He raises his hands thinking it’s over but Ciampa ends up standing up right when the count got close to ten. Gargano is pissed thinking Ciampa was going to stay down. Gargano pulls his knee pad down and hits a running knee on Ciampa, but ends up going too hard, as his momentum kept him going and he crashed through part of the stage and landed hard. The referee counts while both guys are down. Ciampa pulls himself up right before the referee’s count hit ten. Ciampa wins and retains!

Winner and STILL NXT World Champion: Tommaso Ciampa

After The Match:

Mauro Ranallo tells us that Johnny Gargano might have dislocated his knee during the match. Medics attend to him as Ciampa stands above him on the stage with his NXT World Championship in his hand. He slowly makes his way to the top of the stage and demands the referee raise his hand. He does. Ciampa stands proudly with his title and hands raised at the top of the stage as medics have to assist Gargano out. Medics start asking for a stretcher as they sit Gargano down. Gargano stands back up, with a medic under each arm assisting him, and is helped some more of the way through the stage area. The show goes off the air as medics continue to help Gargano to the backstage area while he sees Ciampa standing victorious with the title in hand.
