Backstage Update on Kenny Omega Working Future NJPW Events

— According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, NJPW has not called Kenny Omega for any dates even though Omega previously suggested that he would be able to work Japan dates as it was included in his AEW contract. Meltzer added that there are people who would want Omega in NJPW but others don’t want to make that call.

— Omega’s name was brought up for NJPW’s show in Dallas, but the call was never made and even if it was, it is likely that Tony Khan would have blocked any sort of appearance. Khan’s mentality is that he would approve his talent to wrestle in Japan but if they hold events in North America, he wouldn’t allow any of his guys to work that event.

— Omega recently announced that he would be returning to DDT Pro for an event on November 3 as he will be teaming up with Satofu to take on Antonio Handa & Yamashita Jitsuyu in a mixed tag team match. This would be Omega’s first non-AEW booking after their debut on TNT.
