Regarding their original role in TNA, they were originally brought in to fill spots and be the “girls next door,” but they were quickly turned into an arrogant heel tandem.

“I think we just exploded over the last year. It was our idea to do the Beautiful People tag team thing,” Angelina said. “At first the boss wanted us to do the kind of cute girl next door thing, and we tried it, but it wasn’t really us.”

Both Love and Velvet Sky have paid their dues in wrestling as they worked on the indy circuit for a number of years for little pay.

“We are way more than (T&A),” said Angelina. “We started at the bottom, and worked our way up. We worked for little or no pay and slept in parking lots because we couldn’t afford the hotels. We drove six hours for a crowd of thirty people and not getting paid.”

Velvet Sky added: “Both of us had a million injuries and worked a million shows. We don’t come from a Hooters background or a Hawaiian Tropic background, we worked our asses off to get where we are now, and that is the massive difference.”
