Jericho-Cabana, two title matches set for next AEW Dynamite

Fresh off his pull apart brawl with Mike Tyson on this week’s AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho will return to in-ring action on next week’s show against Colt Cabana.

While Jericho’s opponent wasn’t originally announced, AEW released a video overnight showing the two in a heated backstage confrontation with Jericho blaming Cabana for holding him back as he was about to punch Tyson.

This is a rare singles match for “Le Champion”. He was last seen on the go-home show for Double or Nothing in a quick win over Pineapple Pete, his first singles match on the show since his December 18th ten minute challenge match against Jungle Boy.

Also announced:

TNT Champion Cody will make the first defense of his title against Jungle Boy. The latter won a battle royal on this week’s show to earn the first crack at the champion who issued an open challenge to defend the title every week on Dynamite.
AEW Tag Team Champions Kenny Omega and Hangman Page will return to action for the first time since February’s Revolution pay-per-view against Kip Sabian and Jimmy Havoc. Sabian and Havoc earned the shot with a win over SCU on this week’s show.

It’s believed next week’s show will be taped Thursday at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL.
