North Dakota State Wrestling Hits 18th, 19th in National Rankings

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State University wrestling team continued its ascent of the national rankings this week, coming in at No. 18 in the Intermat team dual rankings and a new program all-time high of No. 19 in the USA Today/NWCA Division I Coaches Poll.

The Bison climbed one spot from their No. 20 ranking in the USA Today poll after defeating previous No. 19 Chattanooga by a 28-10 margin at the NWCA National Duals on Feb. 16.

NDSU (10-6, 3-0 Western Wrestling Conference) has seen all six of its losses this season come to teams ranked among the top 18 in the nation.

The Bison are 21st in the Intermat team rankings which order teams based on projected NCAA Tournament finish.

NDSU will host a pair of WWC duals at the Bison Sports Arena this weekend. The Bison take on Wyoming Friday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m., and conclude the 2013-14 regular season schedule with a dual against South Dakota State Sunday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m.
