Elderly Woman Taken To Concord Hospital After Route 106 Crash
CONCORD, NH — Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to a crash with injury on Route 106 on Sunday morning.
Just after 11:45 a.m., fire and police dispatch began receiving calls about a collision on Sheep Davis Road between the entrance to the Steeplegate Mall grounds by the TD Bank and D’Amante Drive. The collision involved a Chevrolet pickup truck and a Toyota Yaris.
The first arriving officer said a woman in the Toyota was entrapped but was alert and talking. More firefighters were also requested due to the entrapment. Route 106 was shut down and traffic around the crash scene was rerouted. Firefighters worked to remove the driver, who was in her mid-80s, from the Toyota.

An officer went to the hospital later to speak with the driver while other officers brought cones to the scene and directed traffic until a tow truck could arrive.
The driver of the truck was asked to remain on the scene temporarily in case officers needed to request a voluntary blood draw, according to scanner chatter.
There have been several accidents at the intersection, which previously had a traffic light. The light was removed, however, years ago due to lack of need, according to transportation officials.
