Motorcyclist Dies Of Injuries In Route 47 Crash: Yorkville PD
YORKVILLE, IL — A motorcycle driver involved in a crash on Route 47 Monday afternoon succumbed to injuries Tuesday, Yorkville police told Patch.
The motorcyclist, of Aurora, rear-ended a black pickup truck that was attempting to cross several eastbound Route 47 lanes, officials said. Police responded to the area just south of Route 126 at about 1:41 p.m. The Aurora driver was taken to Aurora’s Rush Copley Medical Center in critical condition.
The driver of the pickup, who police said was uninjured, was issued citations and evaluated by Bristol Kendall paramedics before being released.

Route 47, between Beaver Street and Route 126, was closed until just after 6 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation by Yorkville detectives with assistance from Illinois State Police. Police said they are withholding the names of the drivers involved until the investigation is complete.
