Additional Arrest Made In Glastonbury Stabbing Incident
GLASTONBURY, CT — Glastonbury police have made an additional arrest in a stabbing case at a local gymnastics meet.
The stabbing took place at the Academy building in Glastonbury on Feb. 25. A youth gymnastics meet was taking place there that day and an argument between adults turned violent, police said.

A warrant was served Wednesday to 40-year-old Hartford resident Aminah Weatherington, charging her with conspiracy to commit first-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor.

Investigators determined that Weatherington encouraged Marcus McDaniel to stab another man that day, according to a news release. She also failed to take responsibility for her 9-year-old child after the child witnessed the stabbing, according to a news release.
Investigators determined that Weatherington fled the scene with McDaniel without the child after it became apparent the victim suffered a severe injury, according to a news release.

A warrant has charged McDaniel with criminal attempt at murder, first-degree assault, breach of peace and risk of injury to a minor.
