AEW Dynamite viewership down, 18-49 demo rating steady

Wednesday night's episode of AEW Dynamite averaged 830,000 viewers on TBS, down 4.2 percent from last week. It's the lowest audience total for the show since February 15 and is its second lowest of 2023 so far.

In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite finished seventh on the cable charts with a 0.28 rating, the same as last week. That's tied for Dynamite's lowest rating since March 15. It's Dynamite's fifth-lowest rating of the year to date.

Dynamite's ratings were down from last week in most categories, but the show was up with young women. Females 12-34 were up 8.3 percent while women 18-49 were up 18.8 percent. The biggest drop was with males 12-34, which were down 18.5 percent. 

Dynamite aired live on the West Coast due to TBS' coverage of a United States vs. Mexico soccer game. The show aired head-to-head against the NBA playoffs on TNT and the NHL playoffs on ESPN.

As compared to the same week in 2022 (with similar competition but in its regular West Coast time slot), Dynamite's overall audience was down 10.8 percent while its 18-49 rating was down 24.3 percent. It's the 18th straight week the show has had a year-over-year decline.
