Man Utd vs Leeds – Man Utd to win at 8/15 (1.53)

Although their high-profile signings may not be ready to start on the opening weekend, Manchester United look in good shape for kick-off after thrashing Everton 4-0 at Old Trafford in their final pre-season friendly.

In contrast, Leeds failed to win any of their last five friendly matches – losing 4-0 to Ajax in their penultimate game – and are missing a number of key players as they head to a ground where they lost 6-2 last season, making 8/15 (1.53) odds look safe on a home win here.

Leicester vs Wolves – Leicester to win at 4/6 (1.67)

Having already beaten Manchester City to lift the Community Shield last weekend, Leicester will come into the opening Premier League weekend in high spirits as they look to improve on last season’s fifth-placed finish.

With some exciting new signings in their ranks, they look well worth 4/6 (1.67) odds to overcome a Wolves side still finding their feet under a new manager and who won just two of their last 14 league matches on the road.

Hull City vs QPR – Both teams to score at 8/11(1.73)

After sealing the League One title in exciting fashion last season – scoring 39 goals in their final 18 league fixtures – Hull seem to have brought that prolific form with them into the Championship by winning 4-1 away to Preston in their first match.

Considering QPR have both scored and conceded in eight of their last 10 competitive fixtures, and have only failed to find the net on the road in one of their last 16 trips, odds of 8/11 (1.73) look solid on goals going in at both ends at the MKM Stadium.

Salford City vs Sutton United  – Salford to win at 17/20 (1.85)

While they may have narrowly missed out on a play-off place, Salford boasted the best home record in League Two last season – losing just once in 23 games at Moor Lane.

Having reinforced once again over the summer, Gary Bowyer’s team look like solid value at 17/20 (1.85) to beat a newly-promoted Sutton United that lost three of their final four away games in the National League and have started this campaign with two successive defeats.
