Shelton Benjamin Comments On WWE Return

In July of last year, WWE began running promos which were hyping the return of Shelton Benjamin to SmackDown Live. However, the return didn’t end up happening due to a shoulder injury which sidelined the Gold Standard for several months, thus delaying his WWE return.

One year later, Benjamin appeared on SmackDown Live as Chad Gable’s new partner, and on this week’s edition of SmackDown Live, he made his in-ring return with his new partner, as the two defeated The Ascension.

Following the show, Benjamin tweeted out the following regarding his WWE return:

The road back tough. Full of physical/mental high/lows. To hear the roar of the @WWEUniverse tonight made it all worth It.
