Concord Firefighters Free Driver From Flipped SUV

CONCORD, NH — Concord firefighters freed a driver from their SUV after a collision on North State Street between Warren and School streets on Thursday afternoon.

Just before 3 p.m., police and fire and rescue teams were sent to the crash scene between two SUVs near the Firehouse Block Garage. A police parking staffer reported the crash and checked the driver of the flipped vehicle to see if he was OK. He was, but he was also trapped inside, they said.

Other officers arrived and closed off both sides of North State Street.

The crash was between a Toyota RAV4 and a Toyota Highlander.

After being removed from the vehicle, the driver of the flipped RAV4 was taken to Concord Hospital. An officer later interviewed the driver at the hospital.
