Internet Provider Donates $20,000 To Palos Verdes Nonprofits
PALOS VERDES, CA — Internet provider Cox Communications donated a total of $20,000 to three nonprofit organizations in Palos Verdes to support residents impacted by landslides.
Cox Communications donated $10,000 to the American Red Cross, $5,000 to the Palos Verdes Peninsula Rotary Foundation and $5,000 to the Palos Verdes Land Conservancy. Additionally, Cox Communications employees volunteered to help the conservancy plant 100 plants at the White Point Nature Preserve.
“We recognize how difficult this environmental disaster has been on our customers, and we continue to work diligently both with internal and external stakeholders to keep as many households as possible connected,” said Dillaway. “These organizations are doing important work every day in the community, and we are honored to support their efforts during these uncertain times.”

Funds donated to the Rotary will help with buying supplies and necessities for residents whose homes have had their utilities shut off and have been impacted by the landslides. the funds donated to the Red Cross will support emergency preparedness and preparations for shelter resources if it’s necessary in the future.
“The City of Rancho Palos Verdes appreciates Cox Communications’ charitable donations made to assist our residents most in need and help build community resilience to this ongoing land movement disaster. We thank Cox for staying engaged and supporting our local nonprofits who have stepped up in response to the emergency at hand,” said Mayor John Cruikshank.
