NORWALK, CT — Capri’s Cuisine, a Norwalk restaurant specializing in artisan empanadas, recently closed its doors for good after nearly a decade in business.

On Sept. 11, the restaurant announced in a Facebook post Capri’s was forced to close due to the building, located at 170 Main Street, being sold.

“Due to the elevated real estate prices and the market as a whole, we will be unable to reopen a physical location again,” Capri’s said on Facebook.

The restaurant’s windows and one of its doors could be seen covered up late Tuesday afternoon.

Although the restaurant’s social media indicated the closure is permanent, a sign on the door noted the restaurant was “temporarily closed.”
