Brush Fire Breaks Out In Sepulveda Basin
LAKE BALBOA, CA —A brush fire blackened about five acres of brush in the Sepulveda Basin area near Lake Balboa Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the 16900 block of West Victory Boulevard at 12:31 p.m., according to Nicholas Prange, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman. By 1:55 p.m, it had grown to 5-acres, but crews were able to stop its forwarded progress.
Ad of 2:15 p.m., they were working to improve containment lines, Prange told Patch.

The blaze was burning amid grass and driven by 7 mph winds, according to Prange.
The were no structures threatened and no injuries immediately reported.
