Annoying Neighbors: What Ticks You Off, What Do You Do? [Block Talk]

ACROSS AMERICA — Most of us like our neighbors, or at least are not actively repelled by them.

That’s according to a Realtor.com Good Neighbor Survey in which 75 percent of respondents described their neighbors as trustworthy, quiet, friendly and kind, among other attributes.

That still leaves 25 percent of people who drew short neighbor straws. They live next to people who may blare loud music and carry on all night, let their dogs bark incessantly, cuss a blue streak or have zero cares to give about the upkeep of their property.

They may start running power equipment at the crack of dawn, communicate only through snotty notes, or assault your eyes by parading around in front of picture windows wearing nothing at all. They may be nosey or impose on your goodwill by borrowing yard equipment and tools without asking.

The neighborhood would throw them a party if they’d just agree to move.
