“Hunter was a bright student attending Minooka Community High School and enthusiastically engaged in various pursuits. He took pride in the honors and AP classes that he was enrolled in. He found joy in intellectual challenges through participation in the Chess Club which he loved dearly and the Underwater Robotics Club. A dedicated athlete, Hunter was actively involved in wrestling, lacrosse, and enjoyed playing hockey with the Jaguar Hockey Club,” Hunter’s obituary noted. “Hunter began working at Heaps Giant Pumpkin Farm at the age of 14, it was a job that he truly enjoyed. Working on the farm highlighted his work ethic and helped him appreciate the beauty of a sunflower.”

The Joliet Jaguars Hockey Club also posted photos of Hunter on its Facebook on Monday stating, “Share your condolences, support, favorite picture, or memories of Hunter here for Matt, Kristy, Matty, Cam and their extended family.”

Some lost a son, some lost a teammate and some lost a friend but we all lost a great part of our community. Let us join in prayer that our Lord helps Hunter’s family, friends and loved ones find peace in this time of grief.
