SEAL BEACH, CA — The Seal Beach Police Department is planning to increase patrols this weekend to intercept impaired driving while football fans celebrate Superbowl Sunday.

As excitement builds for the big game, SBPD said residents should make sure they stick to the “Go Safely” game plan and choose a sober way to go.

“Let’s make sure Super Bowl Sunday is remembered for great plays on the field, not for unnecessary risks on the road,” Chief Michael Henderson said. “Before you grab a drink, plan ahead for a sober designated driver. Choosing a safer way to go is a win-win for everyone.”
