2 Prisoners On Run In PA: What We Know
PENNSYLVANIA — Two prisoners are on the run in Pennsyvlania after separate escapes within the past several days, putting regional law enforcement and institutions on alert just months after the manhunt for Danilo Cavalcante concluded.
Isaiah Robert Tilghman, 33, of Philadelphia, escaped from custody out in Blair County Sunday while awaiting trial for numerous charges, including possession of more than $100,000 worth of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine, police said.
And Gino Hagenkotter, 34, who was incarcerated for “low level crimes” escaped while on work duty in an orchard behind the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Facility last Thursday, police said. Hagenkotter had been booked at Riverside Correctional Facility just down the street in the city’s northeastern Holmesburg neighborhood.

Hagenkotter was last seen heading north on the 8400 block of Hegerman Street toward Blakiston Street. U.S. Marshals have issued a $2,000 reward for information that leads to his capture.
Precise details on exactly how Tilghman and Hagenkotter escaped have not been released by police, but the incidents raise questions in the wake of what was expected to be a tighter environment for inmates following the Cavalcante incident over the summer. Cavalcanted, who had been convicted of murder, remained on the run for weeks after escaping from Chester County prison before he was finally captured with the help of hundreds of officers from federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.

There is no indication that the escapes of Tilghman and Hagenkotter, half a state away from one another, are related.
