The Latest on Sheamus’ Neck Injury and His Current WWE Status, NXT Star Busted Open During Live Event (Photos)
As we noted earlier this week, WWE Raw Tag Team Champion Sheamus revealed in a recent video that he is dealing with spinal stenosis, the same medical issue which prematurely ended the in-ring careers of WWE Hall of Famers Steve Austin and Edge.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Dave Meltzer had the following to say on a possible prognosis for Sheamus:
“He’s been rehabbing his neck. He’s got spinal stenosis, which is not a good thing. It’s probably career shortening. As far as how long he can go, you know, he’s already in his late thirties, so you don’t know. But spinal stenosis is a bad thing when you get older, and it has ended some careers prematurely, but guys have worked on it for years as well so it’s not like he’s done now, but it’s not a good thing.”
It’s worth noting that Sheamus is currently competing during WWE’s overseas tour in The UAE, and will be defending the Raw Tag Team Titles in a steel cage match, alongside Cesaro, at night two of the WWE Abu Dhabi live events.
NXT Star Busted Open During Live Event
As seen in the photos below, NXT star Bobby Fish was busted open during his main event match with Kyle O’Reilly at last night’s NXT Daytona live event. Despite being busted open, Fish was tended to by doctors and he and O’Reilly were able to get the win over The Authors of Pain:
