Over The Budget Battle Royale Confirmed For AEW Double Or Nothing; First 3 Competitors Revealed
Last September more than 20 names from all across the wrestling industry, representing numerous companies both big and small, were given the opportunity to compete in front of a worldwide audience and a sold-out crowd of screaming Chicago fans at ALL IN.
It was called the “Over The Budget Battle Royale”, and at the time Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks literally had to cut up and sell pieces of the actual ring canvas, as well as the turnbuckle pads and other various elements of the show, in order to finance their incredibly ambitious goal of booking one of the best Battle Royales in wrestling history.
This year, the newly founded All Elite Wrestling may have quite a bit more money to work with, but the spirit of the Over The Budget Battle Royale lives on and will officially make its return at the AEW Double or Nothing in Las Vegas!
In the latest edition of their YouTube series The Road To Double Or Nothing, which we have broken down in full, the first three stars announced for the match are Sonny Kiss, who debuted at the recent Double or Nothing rally in Jacksonville, as well as UK wrestler Kip Sabian and Brandon Cutler, who in early 2018 returned to wrestling after several years away from the business.
