Eve Torres' WWE Status, No. Of WWE Raw CDs Sold, Two PPVs In Baltimore In '08

— If you recall, Eve Torres won a Diva Search contest on an episode of Raw back in October. After sitting on the sidelines for over two months, she started her wrestling training in Ohio Valley Wrestling this past week.

— The WWE Raw’s Greatest Hits CD that was released on 12/18 debuted at No. 68 on the charts, which might be the lowest ranked WWE debut for a musical compilation in quite some time. It sold about 40,000 copies during its first week out. Mike Omansky, a long-time executive in the industry, said if the CD was released two months earlier, it would have sold at least 100,000 copies during its first week out. His feeling is that it got destroyed going against a number of big acts and that the timing of the release was a huge mistake.

— In addition to this year’s Backlash PPV, apparently, the 12/21/08 Armageddon PPV will be held at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland as well.
