MSU to participate in the NWCA/Cliff Keen Nation Duals
MANKATO, Minn. — Minnesota State wrestling will travel to Des Moines, Iowa to participate in the NWCA/Cliff Keen Duals Saturday.
MSU will start the duals against a familiar foe, #4 Newberry College. The Wolves visited Mankato Wednesday to do battle with the Mavericks, Newberry prevailed 30-6.
MSU will send 17 grapplers including Darick Vancura (Fr., 174 lbs.), and Brendan Eichmann (Sr., 197 lbs.) who won their respective weight classes against Newberry on Wednesday.
The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference will have three members at the meet, including MSU, #10 Upper Iowa and #5 St. Cloud State.
The Mavericks’ first event will be at 11 a.m. Saturday and will play tournament style from then on. The dual is a two-day event and is set to finish at 3 p.m. Sunday.
