Roman Reigns is currently scheduled to return from his on-air suspension soon to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania. It has been rumored for a while now that Reigns will be winning the match and crowned world champion in the main event of the show. It appears that Reigns already has his first challenger lined up after WrestleMania. The latest Wrestling Observer Radio states that WWE is planning on having Samoa Joe challenge Reigns for the title and work with each other all summer long. It was also mentioned during the show that Joe should be cleared to return from his injury soon if he has not already received clearance to come back.
Ethan Carter III made a surprise appearance in the crowd during the NXT Takeover: Philadelphia event in January. WWE eventually confirmed that the former Impact Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion has signed with NXT and will be working on the show going forward. EC3 worked his last Impact Wrestling show earlier this year, but the episode featuring his departure officially aired on Pop TV last night. After competing in a Feast or Fired match on Impact, EC3 was unfortunately given a case containing a pink slip, confirming his departure from the promotion. Carter had been wrestling for Impact since 2013, but he will soon be getting the chance to show what he is capable of in NXT.

The Greatest Royal Rumble event will feature the Royal Rumble match as the name of the show suggests, but this special event taking place in Saudi Arabia will see 50 men compete in the match for the first time ever. WWE recently confirmed that the event will be airing live on the WWE Network once the day of the event finally arrives, and it seems that some big names will be coming out for the show. In addition to names like Triple H, John Cena, and AJ Styles being advertised for the event, Jerry “The King” Lawler recently claimed on his Dinner with the King podcast that he and Jim Ross will be reuniting to call the action for the show. As of now, WWE still has yet to confirm that Lawler and Ross will be part of the show.
