Update on a 3rd MITB Match, Jax’s Next Challenger, Holy Foley 2
Even though Backlash ended not even 24 hours ago, WWE will not be wasting any time building up to their next pay-per-view. Money in the Bank will be returning once again this year with members of Raw and Smackdown competing in either a men or women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. However, a third Money in the Bank match could be added to the event this year as well now. Dave Meltzer has noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that there might be another ladder match held for the tag team division during the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. Money in the Bank takes place on June 17th, but the first few qualifying matches will be taking place on Raw later tonight.

Nia Jax successfully retained her Raw Women’s Championship over Alexa Bliss during the Backlash pay-per-view last night. Since this was Alexa Bliss’ one contractually obligated rematch for the title that she lost at WrestleMania, Bliss has since suffered an injury and is no longer the number one contender to the title. Who will be the next woman to get a shot at Jax’s title? According to the Wrestling Observer Radio program, it looks like Ruby Riott will be the next challenger for the Raw Women’s Championship. Since coming over to Raw, Riott has defeated Sasha Banks, and she also scored herself another impressive win during the Backlash Kickoff show last night when she defeated Bayley.
A ton of new programming is being added to the WWE Network over the next few weeks. In addition to shows like Something Else to Wrestle With and old episodes of Heat recently being put up on the network, WWE debuted the second season of the Camp WWE animated series after the Backlash pay-per-view went off the air last night. According to a new report from PWInsider, there have been talks about possibly starting work on a second season of the Holy Foley reality series. The first season of the show premiered in 2016 and showcased WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley living with his family. Production on a second season could officially begin later this year.
