WWE Network expands to India

WWE announced this morning that the WWE Network will be available in India starting on 11/2.

The price will be $9.99 in U.S. dollars with no commitment and the ability to cancel at any time.  The network will be available on desktop, laptop and mobile devices.

The WWE is offering the first month free.  It will be the same English language version as in the U.S. with 3,700 hours of video content.

Because the PPVs are part of the television deal in India, they will be blacked out live but will be available on the network on a one-day delay.  When the current television deal regarding live broadcast of the PPVs expires at the end of 2016, the pay-per-views will air live in India on the network.

They announced that in India, the network will be available also on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Sony PlayStation 3, Sony PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Roku and Smart TVs.

The news was taken well on Wall Street and WWE’s stock has risen so far today from $19.24 per share to $20.64 per share.
