Impact & Aries Trade Shots, Low Ki Injures Opponent, Top SD Debut
Johnny Impact and Austin Aries have been feuding over the top prize in Impact Wrestling for a while now: the Impact World Championship, and Aries will be putting his title on the line in a match against Impact during Bound for Glory next weekend. On social media, the two wrestlers have chosen an interesting way to promote their match as they have been getting deeply personal with their insults on Twitter. Aries also received criticism from fans after he posted a series of tweets (which have since been deleted) that were deemed homophobic towards Impact and also “fat-shamed” his wife, Taya Valkyrie. Images of the messages in question have been posted online by fans who took screenshots of the exchange.
all you gotta do is give him a microphone & he buries himself ??

Yes. Buried in truth, steeped in arrogance, fueled by passion. And I generously spit it all over you and this @IMPACTWRESTLING World Title match. In the 10 mins given the mic I did what you haven’t been able to in 16 yrs: Make fans actually care about you’re match.
…catch ?? https://t.co/txNMXAd79L

Hahaha love that you think that ??
It’s so far off base I can’t even be mad at your delusion. You think you are the only reason people care about our match? You’re entitled to your opinion but saying it doesn’t make it true. https://t.co/PfN9fgVV9H

Low Ki is a veteran of the wrestling ring who has been competing in several different promotions for a number of years. He is currently experiencing a ton of success over in MLW, but according to the promotion, Low Ki recently injured his opponent, Daga, by ripping open his ear. Daga has reportedly suffered a helix tear and has damaged ligaments and muscles as a result of the incident. Low Ki was able to retain his MLW world title by injuring Daga. The injured wrestler vowed to return soon and face Low Ki once again as soon as he is able to do so. Although this was likely part of a storyline, Daga may have suffered some real damage in the process. There is no word on when Daga is expected to return to MLW programming.

The SmackDown brand is just days away from celebrating its 1000th episode. Over the course of the program’s long history, plenty of memorable moments have taken place, and several important debuts of WWE Superstars have occurred as well. WWE has just released a brand new list video on their YouTube channel which ranks their choices for the best debuts in the history of SmackDown. The lists contains the likes of Bobby Lashley, The Great Khali, and Batista’s first appearances on WWE programming. With SmackDown’s 1000th episode coming up on October 16th, it will be interesting to see whether or not any fantastic and memorable debuts or possible returns take place on that show.
