A cell phone video shows several people attacking the driver. The driver then got into a vehicle and drove into a crowd of people, striking two pedestrians. The car then took off.
The victims were hospitalized with minor injuries.
In a press conference Monday, Denver Police Division Chief Ron Thomas said the driver has been identified, but his name isn’t being released to the public pending an active investigation. No arrests had been made at the time of the press briefing.
