1993 Blast Accused Abu Salem Seeks Parole To Get Married, Bombay HC Rejects It

While serving his sentence in the 1993 blast case, Abu Salem wanted to get married and applied for a paroletotie thenuptialknot. However, former underworld don and dreaded criminal saw his plea rejected by theBombay High Court. According to reports, Salem asked fora 45-day parole.

The Division bench of acting Chief Justice VK Tahilramani and Justice MS Sonak had observed that since Salem has been convicted on series charges of terrorism in which scores of people had lost their lives, he can’t be granted parole.
