Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Are Leaving Home for Half a Month

If you’re a normal person, October is the time to put out a few pumpkins — or jack-o-lanterns if you’re feeling extra fancy. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, on the other hand, will decidedly not do that.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will spend the autumn month going on their first-ever royal tour of Australia together … and they’ll be gone for a long, long time. Kensington Palace announced Monday that Meghan and Harry will be running around Australia, Fiji, the Kingdom of Tonga, and New Zealand for a solid half of October, which is a lot.

“The program across these four Commonwealth countries will focus on youth leadership, environmental and conservation efforts — including the dedication of several new Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy projects — and the recovery and rehabilitation of servicemen and women through the Invictus Games Sydney 2018,” the palace said in a statement.

Is it getting our hopes too high to wish for matching couple’s Halloween costumes during their last day? We think not.
