David Dobrik is an extremely popular YouTube personality—his vlogs have attracted nearly 10 million subscribers and counting. Yet, for all of his reach, he has yet to win over another creator very well-liked on YouTube: Ariana Grande. (Her video for "thank u, next" has gotten more than 118 million views in less than a week.) For years, he's been tweeting at the pop star and in a recent WIRED Autocomplete Interview revealed she's still his celebrity crush. As of this writing, though, they're still not an item.

Considering her current internet-dominating appeal, crushing on Grande might seem kind of obvious. But Dobrik—whose breakup video with former girlfriend, and fellow YouTuber, Liza Koshy got 46 million views—wants you to know he's not brand new. "I liked her when she was on Victorious," he says. "Now everyone likes her. It's just not fair."

But his admiration for Grande isn't the only thing Dobrik shares in this Autocomplete Interview. He also shares his love for his Tesla, his Spanish-language skills, and why he can't tour in Australia. "I'm not allowed to leave the country because I am under what you call DACA," Dobrik says, referring to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, the Obama-era policy to protect children brought to the US by their parents from deportation. "If I leave, I can't re-enter for another 10 years."
