SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A freeway shooting that injured one person shut down portions of the San Diego (405) Freeway in Sherman Oaks through the morning rush hour Friday. The shooter remains at large.

It’s the county’s second freeway shooting in two days.

California Highway Patrol officers were called to the busy stretch of freeway shortly after 5:30 a.m., where they found a vehicle blocking the carpool lane on the northbound side of the freeway near the Burbank Boulevard offramp. The driver was suffering from a head wound, and officers found bullet holes in the vehicle, leading investigators to suspect a possible shooting had occurred, according to the California Highway Patrol.
