United States Championship Invitational finals set for next WWE SmackDown
The finals of the United States Championship Invitational are set for the Friday, July 28 episode of WWE SmackDown.
Rey Mysterio won a four-way match on this week's SmackDown to advance to the finals of the Invitational, and now will face fellow LWO member Santos Escobar on next week's show. The winner of that bout will earn a shot at Austin Theory's United States title.
As reported by Dave Meltzer in Friday's Daily Update, Theory vs. the winner of the Invitational is currently slated for a future episode of SmackDown.
Mysterio won the four-way over LA Knight, Sheamus, and Cameron Grimes, pinning Grimes to advance to the finals.
Also announced for next week's SmackDown, Karrion Kross will take on Karl Anderson of The OC. Kross has been feuding with The OC's AJ Styles.
