Disneyland Halloween Time, Oogie Boogie Bash Dates Announced For 2023
ANAHEIM, CA — This is Halloween! at Disneyland Resort which means a return of Halloween-themed decorations, treats, and events across the parks.
From September 1 through October 31, Halloween Time returns to both sides of the resort and the Downtown Disney shopping area. For 2023, expect more Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party dates than ever before, taking place over 25 select evenings between September 5 and October 31, a park spokesperson said.
This year, Jack Skellington and his gang of ghouls will again take over Christmas at the Haunted Mansion with his annual Haunted Mansion Holiday. Across the quad, you’ll find Dia De Los Muertos events, the multicultural feast of the senses at the Plaza de la Familia, and the special ticketed after-hours Oogie Boogie Bash parties at Disney California Adventure in 2023.

Disneyland Park will pay tribute to Día de los Muertos with its traditional, vibrant display in Frontierland, adorned with marigolds and banners of papel picado. The colorful photo location also features a musical trio of larger-than-life skeleton figurines.
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and some of their pals will cast a ghostly glow with new outfits made with luminescent fabrics and bat details. Jack Skellington and his friends from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” will again wreck the halls of Haunted Mansion Holiday. The attraction’s ballroom will showcase the latest rendition of the annual bespoke gingerbread house.
Each night through October 31, the supernatural “Halloween Screams” nighttime spectacular will summon projections, special effects, and music on Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, Rivers of America, and in front of “it’s a small world.” MagicBand+ adds another devious dimension to the show with ominous illuminations and shivering vibrations. On select nights, fireworks will conjure in the skies above.
To make way for “Halloween Screams,” the nighttime spectacular “Wondrous Journeys” is scheduled to make its last performance of the year on August 31.
At Disney California Adventure:
At Disney California, Adventure Park, Halloween decorations and projections evoke an air of eeriness in Buena Vista Street. Cars Land becomes Radiator Screams, where residents and establishments are decked out in their Haul-O-Ween best.

Guests are encouraged to dress up (following special park guidelines) to meet rarely-seen beloved Disney characters, villains, and more. Honoring the Mexican traditions of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), the vibrant Plaza de la Familia cultural experience once again brings brilliant marigolds, heartwarming live entertainment, and family crafts to Paradise Gardens in Disney California Adventure Park from September 1 through November 2. Paradise Garden Grill will present a celebratory menu inspired by Mexican cuisine.
Throughout the experience, characters and music from Disney and Pixar’s Academy Award®-winning “Coco” highlight the everlasting bonds of family. Several times per day, “A Musical Celebration of Coco” presents a talented company of Folklórico dancers, plus Mariachi singers and musicians, that recount Miguel’s adventure to the Land of the Dead. Guests can also take photos with Miguel, enjoy Mariachi music, add remembrance notes to the Memory Wall, and more.

Downtown Disney and the Disneyland Resort Hotels will also share in the Halloween Time Fun.
From September 8 through November 1, Disney character-themed pumpkins will be hidden around the Downtown Disney District for Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit; with the purchase of a map from participating locations, guests can commemorate their search with a collectible keepsake (while supplies last).
Downtown Disney District will also feature fall décor, entertainment, and special offerings from select locations.
Dining locations across the Disneyland Resort will serve frightfully flavorful food and beverages, such as pumpkin fritters and a Halloween cake. This year’s Halloween merchandise includes apparel, home décor, and collectibles with on-trend designs.
