Zinedine Zidane Gets New Wax Statue Unveiled In His Honour In Paris

Zinedine Zidane, one of world football’s greatest players got a new wax statue unveiled in his honour at the Musee Grevin in Paris, as per Reuters. It is Paris’ equivalent of London’s Madame Tussauds. 

Zidane let a smile loose as he stood next to his wax double.

The 50-year-old legend was instrumental in France winning their first World Cup in 1998. Zidane scored twice in the final vs Brazil. A couple of years later he was part of the French side that won the 2000 European Championship. 

Zidane led France to the 2006 World Cup final and also scored to give them the lead. But had to leave the match in disgrace after he received a red card for headbutting an opposition player. France lost to Italy on penalties.

Zidane won the 2002 Champions League with Real Madrid and was back as the manager to lead Real Madrid to three Champions League titles. Zidane left the club once the 2020-2021 season ended.
