In his comeback after injury, Arshdeep Singh did not have a return to remember as he overstepped three times in a row in the second over of the 2nd T20I vs Sri Lanka, according to ANI, as per TOI. 

It created an unwanted record as he was the first Indian bowler to bowl a hat-trick of no-balls in T20Is.

The pacer bowled his first no-ball on the last delivery of the second over.

Arshdeep bowled a no-ball in his third attempt as well as Kusal Mendis smashed him for a six. 

Arsheep also became the unwilling record holder of bowling the most no-balls in a T20I by an Indian bowler. 


Arshdeep conceded 37 runs in 2 overs and his overall tally of no-balls in T20Is is now 14. 

By bowling 5 no-balls in a game, he is only the 2nd bowler from a full member nation of ICC, after Hamish Rutherford, to bowl 5 no-balls in a T20I.
