Former WWE Star & Cruiserweight Legend Set to Debut New Intergender Wrestling Character in ‘GLOW’ Season 2
According to a new column from Gamespot.com, veteran pro wrestler Chavo Guerrero Jr. will be joining the cast of GLOW as a new on-screen character for the upcoming second season.

Chavo has actually been with the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling since the beginning, as one of the head trainers responsible for teaching the actresses how to step inside the ring and working with them on laying out the matches and segments for the show. Several former WWE wrestlers including John Morrison, Carlito and Brodus Clay make appearances in GLOW‘s inaugural season, but this will be the first time Guerrero will be stepping out in front of the camera.
For those unfamiliar with his work, Chavo Jr. is a decorated athlete whose career spans nearly 25 years with runs in WWE, WCW, AAA, Impact Wrestling and Lucha Underground. He is a six-time Cruiserweight Champion, a former ECW Champion, winning tag team gold in numerous promotions including two reigns with his uncle, the late WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero.
It’s unknown what his role will be, although the Gamespot feature did confirm that he will be competing in the ring in a number of intergender matches as well as mixing it up with the stars of the show in a few promo battles. Interestingly, it was Chavo’s uncle Mando Guerrero who helped train many of the original GLOW girls back in the late ’80s, but there’s no word on whether or not this new character will have anything to do with Mando or the Guerrero family’s long-running role in the promotion’s history.
GLOW season two officially drops on Netflix June 29th.
