As we noted moments ago, WWE issued two press releases announcing the company has reached new TV deals for Raw to remain on USA Network and for Smackdown Live to move to FOX Sports in 2019. Below are key items from both press releases.

-The press release describes Smackdown Live as WWE’s “flagship show”, which is something the company has always called Raw. With Smackdown making the big jump to FOX Sports, it’s possible the blue brand will become the new “A” show in WWE.

-The press release confirms Smackdown Live will move to Friday nights with the first airing of the show on FOX Sports set for October 4th, 2019.

-Smackdown will remain a live show.

-Raw will remain three hours, and the show will also remain in its usual 8pm-11pm EST time slot on Monday nights.

-With regards to the success of Raw, the press release touts the following:

Raw delivers more viewers in the U.S. than all sports other than the NFL. On USA Network, the weekly block is currently averaging 1.7M P18-49, 1.7M P25-54 and 3.6M total viewers P2+1.
