WWE Officially Announces Aleister Black’s Next NXT Championship Defense

WWE has officially announced that Aleister Black will defend the NXT Championship against Tommaso Ciampa on the July 25th edition of WWE NXT television.

After finally removing the thorn of Johnny Gargano from his side at Takeover: Chicago last month, the “Psycho Killer” retained to the airwaves last week confronting the black-and-yellow brand’s world champion, promising to make his title reign “fade to black”.

While it may seem a tad unusual to announce a championship match for television three weeks in advance, the interesting thing here is that WWE hasn’t actually taped the match yet. The most recent set of TV tapings finished with the NXT Tag Team Championship match that will headline next week’s show, in addition to content filmed out of order for the next two weeks.
