Matt Striker Talks Learning From Vince McMahon, Why He Teaches Seminars
Former WWE commentator, Matt Striker recently spoke with Fightful.com where he talked about who he learned from during his time in WWE.
On who he learned from in WWE:
“The thing I’m noticing is that a lot of people don’t realize there are so many elements and aspects. People call it a business. I didn’t get into a business. I got into a sport. Then I realized there’s a business side to it. As far as other wrestlers trying to do it, it’s not easy. And I’m fortunate to have gone to the Harvard of pro wrestling. Whether you like them or not—WWE. I learned from Vince McMahon. I learned from Kevin Dunn. I learned from Triple H, from Arn Anderson, from William Regal, from Dean Malenko. That’s an education that cannot be replicated.”
Why he teaches seminars:
“I love doing the seminars. And I like to break it down to one simple question for all. It goes beyond wrestling, this goes out for people. Why? Why are you doing this? Why are you making this decision? Why are you allowing something to have control over you? Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn just did a panel, and Rob talked about mental health and talked about depression. To me, when you give something power to impact your life, that to me is a choice. So finding out why we make these choices is so vital to me and the seminars are a great way for me to disseminate that information,” said the former school teacher.
