Main Event Set For NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14

Following today’s NJPW King of Pro Wrestling event, the main event match has now been set for the upcoming NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14 show.

During today’s show (you can read our results coverage, here), Kazuchika Okada retained the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against SANADA, while Kota Ibushi also retained his rights to a Wrestle Kingdom 14 title match by defeating EVIL.

At the end of the night, Okada called out Ibushi, who answered and made his way to the ring to challenge Okada to a match, which he agreed to, setting up the main event for NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 14 for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

The show will take place on January 4 at the Tokyo Dome.
