‘The Fiend’ Survives Being Blown Up on Halloween, Wins Universal Title at WWE Crown Jewel

The Fiend has captured the WWE Universal Championship, and it is incredibly fitting that the demonic alter ego of the already-demented Bray Wyatt reached the mountaintop on Halloween night.

Wyatt defeated Rollins in a violent and chaotic rematch from their largely panned Hell in a Cell massacre earlier this month. Once again, he appeared to be somewhat invulnerable to pain. Beyond shaking off numerous Curb Stomps and weapon shots, The Fiend even recovered from being BLOWN UP after falling off the stage and crashing through the production area.

What’s next is a very interesting question. With Wyatt being drafted to Friday Night Smackdown recently, both of the company’s world titles are now at home on the blue brand. There’s also a question of what happens at Survivor Series, when all three brands – now including NXT – go to battle against one another.
