Corey Graves Addresses His Tweet About Mauro Ranallo On After The Bell

July 16, 2021 0 By JohnValbyNation

During the latest episode of After The Bell, Corey Graves addressed his tweets about Mauro Ranallo from this past weekend.

During WWE NXT Takeover: WarGames, Corey Graves put out a tweet stating: “Just for the record guys. I know you wouldn’t know it, but there’s actually a WWE Hall of Famer AND a former Ring of Honor Champion on commentary. I’d imagine they have a lot to offer.”

This led to a lot of fans being critical of the WWE SmackDown commentator and led to Ranallo actually deleting his Twitter account.

Mauro Ranallo then didn’t appear at WWE Survivor Series, with WWE claiming the situation was down to his “voice being blown out.” It has since been revealed that Ranallo will now not be appearing at WWE NXT this evening either.

Graves did address his tweets at the start of this week’s After The Bell podcast, stating:

“On a personal note, I need to address something. This past Saturday during the TakeOver: WarGames event I sent out a tweet. It was an unpopular opinion, as I often do with the intention of just stirring up a little controversy. Maybe have something fun to talk about on TV or here on the show. It was maybe not the most professional way to go about things, and it was never meant to offend or disrespect or disparage anybody. That was never my intention. If it was taken as such, I apologise deeply. That was not my intention. I would never intentionally cause anybody any undue stress, especially a co-worker. So, I apologise.”
