Hours After Andheri Bridge Collapse, Cracks Found On Grant Road Overbridge

Just a day after the Andheri bridge collapse that injured five and stranded thousands, another road over bridge (RoB) was found to be a potential threat to citizens. In Mumbai’s Grant Road, cracks were spotted late on Tuesday. The bridge was closed for traffic and reopened on Wednesday afternoon.

The authorities inspected it and said that the crack was only on the surface and it is safe. The crack was reported on Frere bridge. This bridge connects Grant Road (west) and Nana Chowk, around 11.10pm on Tuesday.
