As Anger Swells, Helpless Farmers March To Wake Up The Govt From Slumber
On Friday, farmers from across the country converged in Delhi in support of the opposition-backed no-confidence motion in the Parliament and to protest the government’s inaction over the agricultural crisis and farmers’ distress.
The march was organised by All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee(AIKSCC) in support of two farmer-friendly bills which are to be introduced in the Lok Sabha, although the no-confidence motion did not let that happen.
The farmers, carrying black flags, marched from Mandi House to the Parliament Street in Central Delhi, demanding a minimum support price of 50 per cent above the cost of production.
